What is a Public Intellectual Today: Film and TV Criticism with Angelica Jade Bastién and Inkoo Kang
Angelica Jade Bastién, staff writer for Vulture, and Inkoo Kang, TV critic at the Washington Post, will join Laura Goode, Associate Director for Student Programs for Stanford's Public Humanities Initiative, for a spirited conversation about television and film criticism as a career. Kang has worked previously as a staff writer for Slate and a TV critic for The Hollywood Reporter; Bastién's other writing has appeared in The New York Times, Village Voice, Harper's Bazaar, The New Republic, The Atlantic, and many other publications. Collectively, these women are two of the most celebrated media critics of our current moment, and will offer skilled insight on careers in the humanities, public intellectualism, and criticism in the internet age.
This event will now be a zoom webinar. Please register here to attend.
